The Ghost Pepper Combo Pack Has Landed In Singapore

If you think you have a high tolerance for spicy food — wait till you try the Daebak Ghost Pepper Cola.

The Ghost Pepper Cola was first launched in Malaysia last year as part of a Halloween combo pack that includes the Ghost Pepper Noodles Spicy Chicken Noodles. The drink took the Internet by storm and immolated those brave enough to try it and is dubbed the most insane drink ever.

It has now made its way to Singapore and is available at Sheng Siong supermarkets at $3.95 a pack. You get both the cola and cup noodles in the combo.

We tried to see if it lives up to its name and we got completely destroyed on the first sip. Alas, we did not manage to finish the entire can.

Anyone who is up for the challenge can try the zesty drink. But warning! Consume at your own risk!

McDonald’s Brings Back All-Day McMuffin Stack; Exclusive 1-for-1 Deal on the McDonald’s App

Lobang: https://goodyfeed.com/mcmuffin-stack-1-for-1/

Can’t get enough of the Sausage McMuffin? Waking up just to have some savory, filling breakfast at McDonald’s? Well, we have some wonderful news for you—McDonald’s Singapore is bringing back the McMuffin Stack!

For those who aren’t familiar, The McMuffin Stack is made of everything that made the good old McMuffin so attractive and more. Within the stack, you can find two chicken sausage patties instead of one, a sunny-side-up egg, cheddar cheese.

As the icing on the cake (or muffin), there are also strips of crispy chicken bacon, all sandwiched within delightfully chewy wholegrain English muffins.

These treats are priced at S$5.30 ordered a la carte, and from S$7.25 as an Extra Value Meal with a range of side and drink selections. They are also available all-day beyond just the breakfast timings to satisfy your cravings anytime.

Or if you’d rather wake up at 2pm. You know, like me.

1-for-1 Deal from 29 to 31 March

Why buy one McMuffin Stack when you can get two?

That’s right, to promote the new McMuffin Stack, McDonald’s has launched an exclusive 1-for-1 deal on the McDonald’s App.

From 29 to 31 March, simply launch your McDonald’s App and navigate to the “Deals” section to redeem two of the burgers for the price of one.

While only app users can access this special offer, everyone can enjoy the muffin in the comfort of their homes with McDelivery, GrabFood, and FoodPanda.

Sorry Deliveroo users.

Say Goodbye to Another Favourite

While now you can have the Stack for your snack all day long, sadly, all good things come at a cost.

As Mothership reports, as of 24 March, the McGriddles burger is no longer available on McDonald’s menus, a mere 20 days after its re-introduction.

A sure disappointment for anyone enamoured with its syrup-filled indulgence, though those used to making egg cheeseburgers will be heartened to know they can still have the egg from, well, McMuffins.

This is not the first time the McGriddles appeared and disappeared soon after. In February 2019, the limited run of the burger was so popular that McDonald’s even introduced McGriddles-themed hoodies to capitalise on the hype.

It’s almost like that elusive Pokemon.

We wonder when the McGriddles will make another return, but in the meantime, maybe grab that McMuffin Stack soon.

After all, McDonald’s has promised ominously it will only be available “while stocks last”.

Giant Extending Discounts on Hundreds of Its Products to Help S’poreans Tide Over COVID-19 Period

Lobang: https://goodyfeed.com/giant-extends-discounts/

It’s not an exaggeration to say that many Singaporeans love discounts more than some of their family members.

What else could explain the unbelievably long queues at stores with price reductions?

But now, with the COVID-19 pandemic emptying our bank accounts, we don’t just want these discounts, we need them.

And I’m not talking about discounts on luxury products that we don’t need, but everyday necessities.

Giant Extends Discounts for Hundreds of Products till Yr-End; Will Set them back by S$4Million

Good news for consumers: Giant Singapore is extending its discounts on hundreds of products until the end of the year.

The move is expected to set the company back by an extra $4 million.

So, why would the popular supermarket chain make such a move that would lose its business millions of dollars?

One word: the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reader: That’s like seven words.

Last year, the supermarket chain invested a whopping S$17 million into a discount campaign called Lower Prices That Last, which provides wide-ranging discounts on 650 products.

It has chosen to extend the discounts to ease the financial hardship faced by customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

And it certainly helps.

According to data that Giant collected from December last year to March, customers who shopped at its stores instead of its competitors would have saved an average of 28% or S$14.40 for every basket.

Since the launch of the discount campaign, a “significant uptick” in shopping traffic and volume sales in its stores has been observed, Giant said.

*pretends to be shocked*

Just like last year, Giant customers can expect discounts of 20% on average in 2021.

So, what items will be available on the cheap?

Angus Beef Patties, Japanese Sweet Potatoes, & Hand Soap

This year, Giant will add more than 100 products to its list of discounted items, which include Angus beef patties imported from Australia and Japanese sweet potatoes from Vietnam.

Kirei Kirei anti-bacterial foaming hand soap will also be sold at a lower price: S$1.50 instead of S$2.35, which is a 36.2% drop.

The Japanese sweet potatoes from Vietnam will be sold at a discount of 28.6% at S$2.50 instead of S$3.50.

In addition, the price reduction will also apply to Giant’s own brands such as Meadows.

Staples such as oil, cereal, and cooking spices will also be added to its product catalogue.

At the moment, the supermarket chain, which is owned by Dairy Farm Group, has 53 stores across the country.

Given what we know about Singaporeans, don’t be surprised to see bucketloads of the above items in their shopping carts over the next few months.
