The wildly popular dish is making a comeback and is now updated with even more premium ingredients! The golden broth for the hot pot is made with a medley of high-grade ingredients: jinhua ham, old hens, chicken feet, pork bones, lean pork, pork trotters, dried scallops and carrots. The soup is brewed for six hours, and during this time all the natural essences and goodness of the ingredients are extracted. Ingredients for the hot pot include wild morel, wild golden fungus, sea cucumber, abalone, scallops, prawns, mushrooms, fish maw and chong cao hua (cordyceps). The wild morel used for the YUN NANS Prosperity Treasure Hot Pot, touted as the king of edible mushrooms, is a delicacy, costing more than S$800 per kg. All the ingredients are cooked and presented in an earthen pot that is specially imported from Yunnan. The porosity and natural insulation properties of the earthenware allows heat and moisture to circulate throughout the pot – this in turn helps to bring out the best flavours of the high-grade ingredients.
