Which Suits You Best: Employee Or Entrepreneur?

Lobang from: http://www.moneydigest.sg/which-suits-you-best-employee-or-entrepreneur/

There are definite perks when you become your own boss. When you are the boss, you call the shots! This does not mean that you will disregard the opinion of others and that of your clients. Simply, you need to interact harmoniously with your team, your business partners, and the clients. No man is an island, no matter how many coconut trees you own.

Being a boss fits a certain type of mindset. Consider reinventing yourself as an employee if you do not meet the Entrepreneur mindset.

THOUGHTS ON INDEPENDENCE

An entrepreneur welcomes the idea of working independently. Business owners are willing to take full responsibility for completing their own tasks on schedule. Not to mention, self-employed individuals who work at home spend most of their time without a staff supporting them.

On the other hand, employees set their minds to tasks given by their bosses. They are expected to complete these tasks within a given schedule.

THOUGHTS ON GOALS

Business owners plan, market, and oversee the success of their businesses. Running a successful business entails formulation a well thought out business plan. Write a simple mission and vision statement for the company to direct their goals to it. Having a specific set of goals directs the actions to a unified path.

In contrast, an employee follows the short and long-term goals that someone else set.

THOUGHTS ON MONEY

Business owners need to operate based on the financial situation of the company. Are you knowledgeable about the operation costs and profits? Can you create a fair paycheck while tackling risks? A key factor in starting a business is being able to handle the financial ups and downs. Take money management classes or hire financial professionals to improve your financial support.

Lastly, employees take away the responsibility of building a successful business. Sometimes, they overlook the financial risks of building a profitable business. When this happens, the business owner must step in to mend things.

Don’t Say Bojio: Up To 70% OFF Puma, ASICS, Nike & More At Eunos Warehouse Sale (Till 7 Apr)

Welcome back my fellow shopaholics, it is I, your self-proclaimed shopping guru again.

There has been news of countless warehouse sales recently, resulting in a very depressing bank balance.

(Who am I kidding, warehouse sale or not, Taobao somehow knows its way to my heart and hard-earned money.)

And there’s this Chinese saying – 以毒攻毒 which roughly translates to “fight fire with fire”.

Since damage has already been done to your wallet, you might as well go down in stylish shoes. I mean…technically you’re enjoying savings and making the most out of your buck, right?

Disclaimer: Proceed with caution. I will not be held liable if you get in trouble with your parents for having such a mentality.

Warehouse sale in Eunos is a dream come true for sports fanatics

On 26 March, Star 360 announced their upcoming warehouse sale in a Facebook post.

According to Star 360, the sale will take place daily from 10 am to 7 pm between 28 March to 7 April 2019 at Zhaolim Building located in Eunos.

Oh dear, seems like all good things have been happening in the East. But do not be dismayed, my comrades. Distance is but a number.

With physical stores located in the Central area of Singapore (Suntec City, Bugis Junction, Wheelock and Velocity), Star 360 provides customers with the latest sports shoes, apparels and accessories.

Enjoy up to 70% off A-list brands

If you’re undecided about travelling all the way to the East, here’s my attempt to make you choose a side.

*Cracks knuckles*

There are 14 brands to look out for during the sale, including:

  • Birkenstock
  • Onitsuka Tiger
  • Nike
  • Adidas
  • Adidas Combat Sports
  • Cole Haan
  • PUMA
  • POLO
  • MBT
  • Syunsoku
  • Patrick
  • ASICSTIGER
  • Heelys
  • ASICS

P.S.A Expect it to be very crowded because, in addition to shoes for adults, Star 360’s warehouse sale offers shoes for young children too. (Honestly, I would advise against bringing your kids there because there’d be too much going on. Don’t complain if you end up losing sight of them.)

I’d love to tell you what to expect but since no official images of the sale have been released by Star 360 at time of writing, here’s a brief idea of the goodies up for grabs at the warehouse sale last year:

Getting there

The warehouse sale will take place at Zhaolim Building located at 115 Eunos Ave 3, S(409839).

If you’re going by train, alight at the nearest MRT Station, Paya Lebar, and walk for 8 minutes from Exit A.

As for bus riders, head to the battlefield via 7, 26, 28 or 30 and alight at Sims Avenue, Blk 414 (B82033).

Last words from me to you (and myself): Shopping is inevitable even without sales in play but it’s important to manage your finances well to enjoy greater things in life next time.

Here’s a trick to use whenever you’re tempted to shop: just think of all the clothes collecting dust in your wardrobe and you’ll realize you don’t exactly need the latest fashion item.

Alternatively, feel free to sell your loots for some extra cash. *Wink*
